Since 1997, the Toyota Sienna minivan has been showing other manufacturers how to build a safe, reliable, family-friendly people-mover with style. Now in its fourth generation, the all-new, totally-redesigned 2021 Toyota Sienna reclaims the crown as America's most user-friendly, family-first van. Let's dive into just a few of the great features of the 2021 Sienna ahead of its debut at Landers Toyota of Northwest Arkansas, scheduled for this month!

Built on Toyota's new TNGA-K Platform, the 2021 Toyota Sienna is clearly innovative from the first moment you see it. Shrugging off bland, boxy van shapes of the past, the engineers and designers at Toyota aimed to build a minivan that is like no other because it looks like no other.

“This is an all-new vehicle from the ground up, including a new chassis platform as well as a new electrical platform,” said Chief Engineer Monte Kaehr. “The development of the fourth generation Sienna was a huge undertaking but we always worked towards one single mission—to make the best van yet.”

Outside, the 2021 Toyota Sienna is innovative and bold from any angle, with prominent wheel flares that lend the body a sculpted and muscular appearance, along with crisp, robust character lines that lend a sense of lightness to the minivan form, which can usually be rather top-heavy. The front fascia design of the 2021 Sienna van was inspired by Japan's iconic Bullet Trains, giving the Sienna a look that's alway sleek and confident, with the headlights wrapping around to the side as if sculpted by aerodynamics. The striking lower grille of the 2021 Toyota Sienna is balanced by slim LED fog lamps on the far corners, emphasising the Sienna's stable, ready-for-anything platform.

That sense of sleek boldness continues into details like the rear taillights, which flow smoothly into the sculptural rear liftgate with innovated molded resin rear spoiler, which is a functional piece designed to assist with aerodynamic efficiency and a quieter interior cabin, calming turbulent wind flows over the Sienna.

For an even sportier look, check out the 2021 Toyota Sienna XSE, with 20-inch five-spoke wheels in an exclusive dark chrome finish, and athletic, XSE-specfic front and rear bumpers.

Inside, the 2021 Toyota Sienna carries on the Sienna's "swagger wagon" approach, dodging normal, bus-like minivan interior trails to create an interior that's all about confident, refined, user-friendly features that make you actually want to drive.

Front and center is the 2021 Toyota Sienna's modern instrument panel, made up a series of horizontal layers to emphasize the spacious and open interior of the 2021 Sienna, with a large center-mounted touchscreen, innovative storage. Also new is Toyota's innovative "Bridge" center console, which was designed to maximize ergonomics, storage, and a sense of personalized space for both the driver and front passenger, with integrated armrests, easy-reach cubbies and cupholders, and an available wireless charging pad. Underneath the console, where most vans have wasted space, the Sienna's Bridge Console feature an open area that can be used to store large items like a purse or bag.

Responding to customers who wanted more flexible, functional space, the rear of the 2021 Toyota Sienna can be equipped with the new Super Long Slide Captains chairs, which can slide a full 25 inches forward or backward, for the ultimate in legroom and quick hauling capacity.

The 2021 Sienna LE and XLE trims feature an eight passenger seating configuration thanks to the stowable middle seat. Some XLE, XSE, Limited and Platinum trim-level Toyota Siennas have capacity for up to seven when equipped with the Super Long Slide Captains chairs. Limited and Platinum FWD models even have a deployable rear ottoman, so you can put you feet up and relax.

Safety is front and center in the all-new 2021 Toyota Sienna as well, including 10 advanced airbags and standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.0. The package includes:

  • Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection

  • Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control

  • Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist

  • Lane Trace Assist

  • Automatic High Beams

  • Road Sign Assist
