It’s no exaggeration when we say the Toyota Land Cruiser is an icon among SUVs. It’s been around for more than 60 years and with countless road trips and off-road adventures under its belt. To celebrate its status, Toyota will be releasing a special Heritage Edition of the 2020 Land Cruiser.

The 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition melds the capability of its ancestors with the premium luxury of the current models seamlessly. The Land Cruiser Heritage Edition will come in Blizzard Pearl and Midnight Black Metallic exterior colors and have a unique black-accented grille with a vintage-style Land Cruiser exterior badge.

The wheels are bronze-colored BBS 18 x 8.0-inch forged aluminum with “TOYOTA” on the center cap.

To drive home the sophisticated feel of the exterior, the 2020 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition has darkened headlight housings, fog lights with dark chrome surrounds and side mirrors with darkened chrome details.

Unlike current Land Cruisers, the Heritage Edition will only be available as a two-row SUV. This is to maximize cargo space.

The Land Cruiser Heritage only comes with black leather-trimmed upholstery to capitalize on a luxurious feel. The bronze wheel color continues throughout the interior with contrast switching on the steering wheel, center stack, console, door trim and seats. All-weather floor mats and a cargo liner are standard.

Amenities like a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, Smart Key keyless entry with push-button start make the 2020 Land Cruiser Heritage a smart buy.

The 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system features split-screen capability, advanced voice recognition, Bluetooth connectivity and music streaming, Siri Eyes Free, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Premium JBL Audio with integrated navigation, 14 JBL speaker and Qi wireless charging.

A 5.7-liter DOHC V3 engine works with an 8-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence to produce 381 horsepower and 401 lb.-ft. of torque. Working with a full-time 4WD system, the TORSEN limited-slip locking center differential and a 2-speed transfer case with selectable low-range to power the Land Cruiser Heritage.

A limited number of the 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition will go on sale in late summer of 2019 and pricing will be announced closer to that date.
