Toyota enthusiasts and pop culture fans, you’re going to love this. Kevin Costner created a custom Toyota Tundra and to handle Costner’s active lifestyle. Costner’s truck is hanging out at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas at the moment.

“I was delighted to get a call from Kevin asking if we were interested in collaborating with some video content featuring the Tundra,” Group VP of Toyota Marketing Ed Laukes said in a press release. “Kevin is an avid outdoorsman and is very particular about the equipment he uses. The fact that he identified the Tundra as being the best truck to fit his needs says a lot about our products.”

Costner has a passion for the outdoors, and he outfitted his Tundra with rugged new front and rear bumpers made of heavy-gauge steel, heavy-duty Warn winches and LED light bars and accents from Rigid Industries. Inside, the Tundra has TV monitors in the front seat headrests and a padded sleeping area for his kids.

The custom truck was modified by Complete Customs in McKinney, Texas.

“Kevin was involved with the project from start to finish,” Complete Customs Owner and Chief Builder Shaun Freilich said. “He had some drawings that he drew personally to convey his concept. I made some renderings based on his ideas, and then we flew out to his home to meet him and work out the final details.”

The Tundra has a two-piece roof rack that was designed, constructed and attached to the ARE V Series Truck Cap that encloses the bed. It extends over the Tundra’s cab and gives tons of storage for all of Costner’s gear.

Other upgrades to the Tundra include 4.5-inch BDS suspension lift with Fox coilers and shocks, TRD exhaust, 18-inch Method Race wheels with 35-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires, N-Fab side steps along the length of the cab, Lock’er Down security safes under the rear seats and center console and a Dometic dual-zone cooler in the bed.

“He knew exactly what he wanted,” Freilich added. “He made it challenging, but it was also a blessing. Some guys will just throw crazy ideas at you and expect you to make it happen, but he was willing to work closely with us to make a vision a reality.”
