Entune & Entune 3.0 - What’s the Difference?

615 × 345

The Entune multimedia system has been a staple in Toyota vehicles for some time now, but the technology has seen an upgrade this year with the introduction of Entune 3.0 to the 2018 Camry and Sienna as well as the 2019 Avalon, Corolla Hatchback and C-HR. The Entune 3.0 system connects Toyota vehicles to your devices and the outside world like it never has before. Entune Audio and Audio Plus did, and still do, a good job for Toyota vehicles, and it took a lot of innovation to improve upon them.

Fortunately, we at Steve Landers Toyota of NWA are basically experts on all things Toyota, so we have a little bit of insight on just how much better the Entune 3.0 technology is than the older editions.

1. Smartphone Connectivity

With Entune 3.0, your vehicle is now connected to an app on your smartphone. Turn on the ignition, lock and unlock doors, find your car in a parking lot or monitor a guest driver all from your smartphone. The vehicle will also send updates to your phone and email on fuel level and upcoming maintenance needs. This feature puts you in greater control of your vehicle.

2. WiFi Connectivity

Entune 3.0 offers WiFi connectivity via Verizon. Now you can connect up to five devices to your vehicle’s WiFi. This is great for keeping kids entertained as you head on a family vacation or for keeping you connected on a business trip.

3. Greater App Database

Previously, many apps were only included with Entune if you purchased the premium subscription package. This has changed with Entune 3.0. Now, all apps are included on every Entune 3.0-enabled vehicle. This means you can enjoy Pandora, iHeartRadio and many other popular apps through your vehicle.

When it comes to navigation, there are three different options: Entune 3.0 Dynamic Navigation, Entune Integrated Navigation and Scout GPS Link. Learn more about them here.

The Entune 3.0 multimedia system puts you in greater control of your car. With updates coming around the Toyota model line in 2019, Entune 3.0 will be widely available. Visit Steve Landers Toyota of NWA to get your hands on the newest in-vehicle technology today.
