There’s a new Toyota Corolla in town and it’s a hatchback! In late March 2018, Toyota announced the all-new 2019 Corolla Hatchback at the New York International Auto Show.

This technologically-advanced small vehicle will replace the current Corolla hatchback, the Corolla iM. It will hit dealers this summer.

There will be two grades of the 2019 Corolla Hatchback, SE and XSE. It has a 2.0-liter Dynamic-Force direct-injection inline four-cylinder engine and Dynamic-Shift CVT or new six-speed intelligent manual transmission.

The headlights are slim and J-shaped LEDs that help accentuate the bold look of the 2019 Corolla Hatchback. The taillights, which are strictly LED, have a diffusing inner lens that is designed to accentuate the sturdy stance of the vehicle.

The hatch is made of Toyota Super Olefin Polymer and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), which increases fuel efficiency in addition to making it light.

Exterior colors include Blizzard Pearl, Silver Metallic, Midnight Black, Galactic Aqua Mica, Scarlet, Oxide Bronze and Rival Blue, which is new for 2019.

The 2019 Corolla Hatchback pairs high-gloss materials with matte elements and available contrast stitching to give a high-class feel to the cabin.

The center console has a tray to hold small items like a smartphone and Qi wireless charging, if outfitted.

The SE grade has a leather shift knob, paddle shifters behind the steering wheel and electronic parking brake. The XSE grade adds dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and eight-way power driver’s seat.

The 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback comes standard with Entune 3.0. The multimedia system has an eight-inch touchscreen, app suite, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa integration, Wi-Fi Connect, Siri Eyes Free, auxiliary jack, USB 2.0 port with iPod connectivity, Bluetooth, voice recognition with hands-free phone capability, six speakers and more.

The XSE grade has Entune 3.0 Audio Plus with additional features, including navigation. It also has a seven-inch TFT Multi-Information Display and JBL speaker system.
